Location
& Directions
Get to the intersection
of Route 15 and Highway 138 (known as the Cajon Junction). This
can be accomplished by either going out Route 10 to the 15 and going
North to the 138 or, for the San
Fernando folks, going out the Pearblossom Highway (138)
to the 15. From the 15, take 138 East for
about 12 miles. The first 3 miles are quite winding but then it
straightens out. When you see the lake ahead of you and you start
down a grade, watch on your right for the Silverwood Lake
exit sign. At the stop sign, go left to the camp entrance booth
and check in. After you have checked in, turn around and go back
the way you came to the West Fork group camps area in Cleghorn Canyon. You will pass the stop sign
on the right that you started from, pass the park administration
office on your left, and about a half of a mile further on your
left is the entrance to the Barranca group
camping area. The telephone number for the park administration office
is (760)389-2281. |
